Freedom Trail Stop 6: Old Corner Bookstore

Moving along, we see a...Chipotle? No, Chipotle hasn't been around since the Revolutionary Era. In 1718, The Old Corner Bookstore was built. Originally it was the home and apothecary for Dr. Thomas Crease.

Fast forward to the 1960s, the building was to be demolished and rebuilt as a parking lot. A group of Bostonians formed Historic Boston Incorporated and decided to fight against the destruction of the building. It restored Old Corner Bookstore as a retail space, hence the current-era Chipotle.
